— The Ocean Beyond Betrayal

A Deep Dive into the Wounded Feminine, Intuitive Depth, and Sovereign Power

Sedna is a trans-Neptunian object, one of the most distant and mysterious bodies in our solar system. A cosmic outlier. A force that stretches the boundaries of what we thought the solar system looked like.

Astronomically, Sedna orbits far beyond Neptune, taking about 11,400 years to complete one full cycle around the Sun. Her movement is slow, ancient, and immense, carrying timelines that far exceed human comprehension.

Mythically, Sedna is the one who was betrayed, cast into the cold ocean by her father, her fingers severed as she clung to survival, only to become the sovereign goddess of the deep.

When we speak of Sedna, yes, we speak of the wounded feminine archetype, but also of something much deeper and ancient:

Sedna is the archetype of betrayal that becomes immense depth. Exile that becomes psychic power and devotion to truth.

Sedna represents the places in our lives where something irreversible has occurred, where there is no going back to who we once were. And yet, from that rupture, something vast awakens.

Sedna’s gift is not surface-level healing. Her gifts are psychic depth, intuition initiated through surrender, reclamation of voice where it was once silenced, sacred rest and regeneration, and a power that does not seek permission to exist.

Wherever Sedna lives in your chart, she asks you to listen to what has been buried, to honor what has been exiled, and to recognize that even in fragmentation, there is an emergent oceanic intelligence within you.

Why Now — Sedna in Gemini

Sedna has recently entered Gemini, and this alone is profound.

Gemini is the realm of language, storytelling, communication, and the nervous system. It governs how we share information, how we speak, how we listen, how we connect.

And now Sedna, this deep, ancient, oceanic force, is moving through the sign of writing and communication.

At the same time, we are witnessing:

  • Uranus entering Gemini

  • The Pleiades (the Seven Sisters) shifting into Gemini

  • A collective acceleration of technology, communication, and information exchange

So we have Uranus, Sedna, and the Pleiades all aligned in Gemini.

This is a moment where:

  • silenced stories rise

  • truth disrupts systems

  • the body remembers what the mind tried to forget

  • communication itself becomes a site of healing and reckoning

Sedna in Gemini asks:

What has not been said?

What truth lives in the body but has not yet found language?

What happens when the exiled voice returns?

Timing + Access

  • Open for enrollment on the Scorpio Full Moon (May 1, 2026)

  • Delivered on the Taurus New Moon (May 26, 2026)

Right as the Sun begins to align with Sedna, Uranus, and the Pleiades in Gemini.

And while this transmission is connected to a specific astrological moment, this is a body of work you can return to for a lifetime.

Sedna’s Lineage — Honoring Origins, Navigating Reverence with Responsibility

It is also essential to name that Sedna is not just an archetype or distant celestial body, she originates as an Inuit goddess, a living figure within Inuit cosmology, story, and relationship to the land and sea.

The naming of Sedna as a trans-Neptunian object by Western astronomers reflects a larger historical pattern: the extraction and repurposing of Indigenous mythologies within colonial frameworks of knowledge-making.

In this way, Sedna’s story exists within a tension—between reverence and appropriation, between honoring and taking.

In this workshop, we will gently explore what it means to work with Sedna from a modern astrological perspective while remaining conscious of this lineage.

We will ask: how do we engage this archetype with humility, respect, and awareness?

What does it mean to invoke her name while acknowledging the living cultures from which she comes?

And how might Sedna herself—goddess of the deep, of consequence, of restoration—guide us toward more ethical, relational, and accountable ways of practicing astrology in a world shaped by colonization?

During the Workshop Download, we will explore Sedna and her tarot correspondences, including the Hanged One.

We will also dive into the symbolism and significance of the astrological glyph for Sedna, as seen here above.

In this workshop download, a full section is devoted to creating an altar for Sedna as a way to deepen your relationship with this archetype
